a farewell for the summer

Sorry, listeners. I had no idea that the last show was -- well -- my last show. Monday, May 1st turned out to be a nightmare of a day turned into night of a move-in day to my new place in Kingston. Needless to say, good thoughts of good music were far from my head at 12am. But no fear, it was only the last show before the summer of 2007, not the complete end-all & be-all of Beauty & the Beat.

There's a whole slew of great alternative radio programming still continuing on at CFRC, so your fix of great Canadian &/or independent music & informed issues is never dry. Never! Also! The station has now been equipped with a new Operations Officer, Eric, and new Programming & Business Managers, Mike & Sylvia. I'm anticipating the things that are coming ahead this year at CFRC !

For now, this is a temporary farewell & hiatus for Beauty & the Beat until September arrives, bringing with it a new school year and another season of gorgeous lullaby indie tunes.
